Upstairs Downstairs Moving's current insurance carriers are The Dorfman Organization with New Hampshire Insurance Co. for liability coverage and Greenwich Insurance Co. for cargo insurance.

We offer limited liability insurance with three basic options:

1. You are automatically covered for a total loss or damage for 60 cents per pound per article on all guaranteed prices-- with a maximum liability of $2500 per load.
   
   
2. You may declare the estimated total value of your shipment - in your own handwriting - on your bill of lading. Our estimator will provide the terms and limitations of this policy, which covers your belongings while in transit.
   
   
3. You can contact your own insurance representative for an 'all risk' policy - these policies usually cover your belongings for three days.
   
   
4. Upstairs Downstairs Moving is protected with $5 million worth of Certificate of Liability (C.O.I.) Building Coverage. We advise you to check with your building management if proof is required prior to the move. We will be happy to provide the management with a C.O.I. at no additional cost.
